Hard metal tooling.

We manufacture hard metal tools for the points in a metal forming line that wear fastest. Every tool is made to the customer drawing and to the conditions it will run in.

Why hard metal

Hard metal outperforms tool steel on strength, hardness, abrasion and corrosion resistance and behaviour at temperature. We build the working elements from hard metal and the carrier body from steel — hardness where the tool wears, toughness where it is loaded.

01

Drawing tools

Profiled dies and mandrels for wire, bar and tube drawing lines, produced in round, square, hexagonal and custom profiles.

  • Wire drawing dies
  • Bar drawing dies
  • Tube drawing dies
  • Special profile dies
  • Drawing mandrels
  • Floating mandrels

02

Cold and hot forging tools

Tooling for forging operations where metal is shaped by plastic deformation. Working faces are hard metal, the carrier body is steel.

  • Cutting knives
  • Cutting and trimming dies
  • Stamping dies
  • Cold heading dies
  • Reduction and extrusion dies
  • Punches

03

Tools for the fastener industry

Tooling for bolt, screw and nut production lines. Working elements are made from hard metal or steel, depending on what the application calls for.

  • Clamping tools
  • Knives
  • Plain header punches
  • Serrated header punches
  • Letter and mark punches

04

Rolls for cold and hot rolling

Hard metal rolls raise the output speed and surface quality of the rolled material, and their wear resistance cuts line stoppages.

  • Oval reducing rolls
  • Round reducing rolls
  • Forming rolls
  • Profiling rolls
  • Ribbed rolls

05

Special tools

Tools outside the standard programme, where the geometry is redefined for each application. Produced in hard metal alone or combined with steel.

  • Manufactured to customer drawing
  • Complex geometries
  • Hard metal and steel combinations
  • Design developed with our technical team

06

Tools for the packaging industry

Tooling for can and metal container lines, built for the high volumes and short cycle times the packaging sector runs at.

  • Food can tooling
  • Metal container and lid tooling
  • Cream, silicone and adhesive containers

Dimensions and geometry change with every application, so we publish no catalogue sizes. Send us your drawing or your running conditions and we will define the tool with you.
